Potassium permanganate impregnated activated alumina, also known as XR2006®M impregnated activated alumina with potassium permanganate (KMNO4) media, is a chemisorbent that filters via adsorption and oxidation. Because of its uniform size and spherical shape, it has a minimal pressure drop.
Potassium permanganate is infused into the high surface area activated alumina pellet known as XR2006®M impregnated activated alumina with KMNO4 media during the manufacturing process. Instead of using immersion, Xiangrun filtering medium uses mixing material technology.The end product is a chemical filter that performs better in eliminating light organics, sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), and mercaptans from airstreams. Because of its strong ethylene adsorption, it is also known as an ethylene filter or adsorber. Because of its uniform size and spherical shape, XR2006®M KMNO4 impregnated activated alumina media has a minimal pressure drop and functions as a chemisorbent, filtering by adsorption and subsequently oxidation.
