Bronopol Applications:
Bronopol's primary applications include cooling water circulation systems, papermaking pulp, paint, plastics, cosmetics, wood, industrial sterilization, mildew, anticorrosion, algaecide, and more.

Bronopol Characteristics:

A broad-spectrum biocide, 1,3-propanediol (bronopol), is very effective at preventing bacterial development in industrial process systems, including cooling towers, evaporative condensers, recirculating water, pulp and paper manufacturing, oil production and transportation, and industrial process fluids.
Applications for bronopol include starch, pigment and extender slurries, printing inks, fountain solutions, paints, latex, and antifoam emulsion systems.
It is mainly utilized in fluid, filler, and pigment preservative applications.
It works very well against bacteria called Pseudomonas.
