Aluminum oxide abrasive is an extremely tough material, registering a value of 9.2 on the Mohs scale.
Due to its high hardness, this material is used successfully for blasting processes that require great force and speed.
This material is of high purity and is ideal for sanding surfaces that are not allowed to impregnate with other substances during the blasting process: INOX, Aluminum, and Copper.
This abrasive is produced from artificial corundum through fusion processes. Aluminum oxide particles are extremely tough and sharp, with high cutting and cleaning speeds, being effective for fast and aggressive sandblasting. Fine abrasive particles produce a very smooth finish to sandblasted surfaces, and grungy particles cut in depth, removing all deposits on the surfaces. This material is used successfully in both dry blasting processes and wet blasting processes.
