In commercial applications, the simplex softener is utilized for automatic and intermittent water softening. It has a monodisperse quality exchange resin, a brine tank, and a Clack central control valve. Regeneration is controlled by volume or time. The device is also offered in the economical brining version starting with size 200.

                                                            Conditions of use
                                                            The unit may only be used for softening feed water of drinking water quality or appropriately pre-treated well or surface water. The following parameters must be maintained in the feed water:

Utilization of ECOTROL-E Simplex Softeners

For uses where a steady supply of soft water is not necessary
Unit can be installed upstream of reverse osmosis unit with full brining.
