A self-cleaning filter is a type of filter that directly intercepts impurities in water, removes suspended solids and particulate matter in the water body, reduces turbidity, purifies water quality, reduces system fouling, algae, rust, and so on, in order to purify water quality and protect other equipment in the system from normal use. The operating precision equipment, the water enters the self-cleaning filter body from the water input, and the intelligent (PLC, PAC) design allows the system to automatically recognize the degree of impurity deposition and discharge the sewage to the sewage valve signal.
How it works.
The water enters the filter through the water inlet. The coarse filter element takes out bigger particles of pollutants before reaching the fine filter screen. The water outlet discharges clean water after the fine particles have been filtered through the fine filter screen.
During the filtration process, pollutants in the fine filter's inner layer gradually build, resulting in a pressure difference between the inner and outer sides. When this differential pressure reaches the preset value, the automatic cleaning process will begin: the drain valve opens, the hydraulic motor chamber and hydraulic cylinder of the main assembly release the pressure and discharge the water; the pressure in the hydraulic motor chamber and the sewage suction pipe drops significantly, due to the negative The suction nozzle absorbs dirt on the inner wall of the fine filter, which then flows into the hydraulic motor chamber by the hydraulic motor and is expelled by the sewage valve, resulting in a sewage suction process. When water passes through the hydraulic motor, it causes the sewage suction pipe to rotate, while the hydraulic cylinder piston causes it to move axially.  The complete cleaning process will last tens of seconds. At the completion of the wash, the blowdown valve closes, the water pressure increases, the hydraulic cylinder piston returns to its original position, and the filter begins to prepare for the next flush. During the cleaning procedure, the filter's normal filtration work continues uninterrupted.
The principle that backwashing can be performed automatically: 

As previously stated, backwashing is accomplished through the opening of the hydraulic valve and the movement of the hydraulic cylinder piston, which are controlled by the backwashing controller. The backwash controller can accurately manage the hydraulic valve and hydraulic cylinder based on the pressure differential between the filter's intake and outlet, and the controller's power is derived from the pressure in the pipeline.

Characteristics of the self-cleaning filter: 
  1. Uninterrupted water supply during backwashing, and the full backwashing process is completed by cleaning every point of the suction nozzle. 
  2. Backwashing causes relatively minor local pressure fluctuations between the suction nozzle and the fine filter, and the action of the collector and hydraulic cylinder has no effect on the normal water supply. 
  3. At the same time, the amount of water consumed during backwashing is minimal, with a flow rate of 300m3/h. Consider a filter with a backwash flow of 35-40m3/h, a period of 7-15 seconds, and a capacity of 80-160L of water.
