There are FRP storage tanks in the chemical industry. Fertilizer, wood pulp and paper, metal extraction, refining, electroplating, brine, vinegar, food processing, chlor-alkali, and air pollution control equipment—especially at municipal waste—are among its uses. A strong, corrosion-resistant matrix is produced by adding fiber strands and/or fabric reinforcements to thermosetting fiber-reinforced plastic. The distribution system pressure is provided by the other, while the storage volume is supplied by the FRP storage tank. A particular tank may perform one or both functions, depending on its location within the system and its configuration. The inside of this container is coated with a chemical resin.
