The membranes used in these systems consist of pore sizes of 0.1 pm or less, with the ability to remove TSS and bacteria from treated water. 
It also should be noted that the membrane module is capable of being submerged in aeration basins or even distinct tanks externally from the basin.
Membrane Bioreactor MBR Modules are used in combination for purifying wastewater and membrane filtration. This process helps to reduce biodegradable pollution effectively through the use of bacteria and pathogenic microorganisms. After treating wastewater, the activated sludge is separated from the treated water by a microfiltration membrane.
How does it work?

  • MBR Modules work by combining the membrane process such as microfiltration or ultrafiltration with a suspended growth bioreactor. MBR systems are now widely used for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment within large-sized manufacturing plants. 
  • When used with domestic wastewater, MBR systems can produce effluent of high quality that is enough to be discharged to irrigation or seawater, brackish, and surface water sources. 
  • MBR systems are designed to have certain advantages over conventional systems including small footprints, easy rental, and upgrades of old wastewater treatment plants. 
  • These systems offer optimal performance in removing many contaminants such as microbiological organisms that are present in the wastewater.

Single-chip off-line for chemical cleaning, maintenance, or replacement
Each membrane is connected to the inner aeration main pipe and the water-collecting pipe by DN15, single membrane can be removed separately for chemical cleaning, maintenance, or replacement.
