How Do Solar Panels Function?
Photovoltaic solar panels are made up of numerous cells comprised of semi-conducting materials, most often silicon. When light strikes on this substance, an electric current flows. The cells do not require direct sunlight to function and can even function on cloudy days. However, the more sunlight there is, the more power is generated.
