Using electrodeionization (EDI) and complete desalination of softened water based on the reverse osmosis concept, the ultrapure water unit generates diluate with a typical conductivity < 0.2 μS/cm. It has a small rotary vane pump installed. The Siemens S7-1200 PLC allows for optimal control and assessment of the unit's functioning in addition to allowing for visualisation of the unit. Optionally available features include remote access, interface-based data transfer, and future control system expansion or modification (upon request and at an additional cost).
Terms of usage:

  • Only softened feed water (<0.1 °dH) with drinking water quality or suitably pre-treated well or surface water may be desalinated using this machine. 
  • The unit is intended to operate at 1,000 mg/l of salinity (TDS), 15 °C of temperature, 10 mg/l of CO2, and free diluate outflow. 
  • Even after three years of operation, the anticipated diluate output is reached under these circumstances. 
  • Both the pre-treatment and the raw water quality affect the diluate's quality.
