A closed UV disinfection reactor called Wedeco Acton PE is made to endure harsh environments, such as those found in aquaria, well boats, aquaculture farms, and saltwater thermal pools. Its construction with polyethylene HD-PE (PE100) ensures resilience and performance even under harsh circumstances by withstanding biological elements and salinity in such locations.
High rate of disinfection

In order to avoid the growth of dangerous bacteria, fungi, and viruses, Wedeco Acton PE ensures aquaculture biosecurity and maintains optimal sanitary conditions for water input, outflow, and recirculation. Better fish quality, a reduced fish mortality rate, and increased productivity are all guaranteed by this.
High performance with minimal energy usage

Our Acton PE uses bulbs made by Wedeco EcoRay®. Significant energy savings are possible thanks to this technology, which offers high power per lamp (600 W) and emits proportionately high UVC in both dimmed mode and high power levels. The sensor-driven OptiDose feature adjusts the dosage to match the present demand while keeping an eye on current circumstances.
Adaptability and simplicity of use

High flows up to 829 m3/h can be handled by the Acton PE in a single reactor. It permits a range of fixed installation configurations and orientations. It is simple and requires no tools to replace a lamp. Because each bulb has a high power output, fewer lamps are required, which means less maintenance is involved. Acton PE units come with the special EcoTouch controller, which has an intuitive visual touch display and can optionally connect (via bus) to SCADA systems.
Made to last

Premium polyethylene, used to make Acton PE, is non-corrosive and incredibly dependable, even in abrasive water environments. The design is vibration- and harsh condition-tested, including the bulbs and quartz sleeves. 14,000 working hours are guaranteed for each light, thanks to EcoRay® lamp technology.
Dependable technology

With decades of experience, Xylem has supplied UV systems to the aquaculture sector. UV has been shown to be very efficient against infections particular to aquaculture, such as Aeromonas salmonicida and the ISA virus, without having an adverse effect on the quality of the process water.
