The hardness-producing ions, calcium, and magnesium in varying concentrations are the most and least acceptable chemical contaminants in water. Additionally, they are in charge of the hard scale that accumulates in the circulating system, condenser jackets, boiler tubes, pipe lines, cooking utensils, and other hot water-contracted equipment.
The main purpose of AQUILA Softener is to create zero soft water by removing calcium and magnesium ions using a very acidic cation exchanger. Which substances in the water cause dissolved hardness and are substituted by sodium ions?
Co-current regeneration with a downflow rate and countercurrent regeneration with an upflow rate are features of the AQUILA line of water softeners. Longer running cycles and reduced regeneration costs are features of the AQUILA series softeners. The systems use the tried-and-true method of counter and co-counter currant regeneration flow rate to cheaply meet the soft water needs of commercial and medium-sized companies. 
The principle of water softening
A sodium-based high-capacity polystyrene bead cation exchange resin powers the water softeners. The hardness-forming calcium and magnesium salts are swapped out for sodium salts, which have no hardness qualities, when hard water flows through this resin column. When the material is regenerated using a solution of regular salt, the softening process continues until the sodium salts have been used up. Consistently high-quality treated water is guaranteed by the water softener units' sophisticated co-current/counter-current architecture.
