Fundamentals of Work 
Fiber cloth rotary disc filters are used primarily for deep treatment of sewage (installed after the secondary sedimentation tank of conventional water treatment systems, primarily removing total solids, with chemicals added to remove some phosphorus, turbidity, COD, etc.), surface water further purification, reusing reclaimed water, and standard discharge of existing or newly constructed sewage treatment plants (the drainage standard has been raised from level B to level A).
The rotary disc filter with semi-immersed fiber cloth works on the basis of the drum filtration method. The filter is made up of a number of rotatable filter discs arranged horizontally on the central pipe shaft. 60% is the maximum immersion volume that can be achieved. The filtered clean water emerges from the machine's end after the sewage passes through the filter cloth from the inside out. The filtration pressure difference will increase as the filtration time increases because trapped suspended solids will cover the filter cloth. The flushing rod cleans the suspended solids deposited on the filtration surface at a specific rhythm as the turntable slowly rotates once the predetermined maximum pressure difference is reached. A thick slurry hopper built into the apparatus allows the backwash water to exit the box after the flushing water has flowed to dissolve the suspended solids.Sewage is continuously and continuously filtered throughout the cleaning procedure.

Field of Application
1. The Municipal Wastewater Sector.
After the secondary sedimentation tank, deep filtration takes the place of a conventional sand filter.
Make sure the effluent satisfies the Class A standard (SS ≤ 10 mg/L) by removing suspended solids (SS).
Benefits of technology:
A single machine's processing capacity is large, reaching up to 2000 m³/h.
Sand filtration uses 50% more water than backwashing.
2. The Paper and Pulp Industry

White water recycling system fiber interception.
Elimination of fine particles following de-ink wastewater treatment.
Benefits of technology:
10–50 μm filtering accuracy (able to intercept fine fibers)
High concentration slurry resistance (feed SS ≤ 500 mg/L)
3. The Food and Drink Sector
Yeast cell recovery from fermentation wastewater (e.g., breweries).
Water used to clean fruits and vegetables is filtered for organic residue.

4. The Mining and Metallurgy Sector
Concentrate tailings from wastewater from mineral processing.

Appropriate for pH 2-12, corrosion-resistant design. 
It can be used in conjunction with a flocculant dosing system to increase the effectiveness of sedimentation.
 

Material Properties

  1. The base fabric of the filter cloth is woven from polyester fibers;
  2. The filter cloth's free fibers are composed of polyamide.
  3. Different filter cloths can be chosen for various water qualities, and the density and length of the fibers can be chosen based on the filtering medium.
  4. Typically, the fluff on the filter cloth's surface is 10–15 mm high;
  5. high filtration rate, at least 15 mm/h to 20 m3 % m³/h;
  6. With a filtration accuracy of 5-8 μm, the uniformly distributed fabric fibers can create a dense filter layer.
  7. The effective filtration depth of the filter cloth medium is 2 mm.
