The upper end of the rising film evaporation tubes protrude from the upper tube plate of the calandria in multi-effect distillation evaporators, so that the liquid after evaporation does not flow back into the tube and the vapour produced inside the tubes can leave the tubes without passing the liquid level on the upper tube plate. This prevents excessive liquid entrainment as well as increased vapour and distillate salinity. The retractable covers on N.S Terbo multi-effect distillation evaporators allow easy access to the demister pads. The heating elements on the condensation side are built with unique internal air cooling zones to ensure optimal concentration of the non-condensable gases expelled by the ejector.
