Rectangular metallic bellows expansion joints are used in duct systems to absorb vibration and heat motions. Corrugations with a high profile and a low spring rate will allow for a lot of movement in short face-to-face configurations. Internal or external flanges are available. To ensure trouble-free operation under high-temperature situations, a number of alloys can be used. Axial, lateral, and angular movement are all possible. For circular duct systems, similar low-pressure bellows are manufactured.
