Why should you use a rubber expansion joint?
Rubber expansion joints and connections are an excellent alternative for a wide range of piping applications.
Rubber expansion joints are commonly utilized to connect a vibrating piece of mechanical equipment to a pipeline. In general, these rubber connectors are the ideal solution for isolating noise and vibration and preventing these undesirable dynamics from being transmitted down the pipeline to occupied areas. Single and double spheres are commonly used for moving water in HVAC systems.
They can also be used to absorb the movement of pipes. Spherical connectors are offered in single and double sphere configurations to absorb higher pipe vibrations. Rubber expansion joints and connections are an excellent alternative for a wide range of piping applications.
To accommodate larger movements, spool type expansion joints can be designed with several arches.
Rubber couplings will also accommodate some pipe offset induced by equipment settling.
Rubber expansion joints come in a variety of forms and configurations.  Consider the following setup options.

Features of Rubber Connector

  1. Arches can be narrow or wide.
  2. Multiple arches allow for more movement.
  3. Filled arch types (with rubber foam) to prevent media from filling arches
  4. Styles that are being reduced - eccentric or concentric
  5. Flange options include conventional or bespoke drilling, as well as no drilling (drilling only one side is sometimes a desirable alternative).
  6. Dimension options in person
