Supplying wastewater treatment facilities with increased aeration efficiency
With its creative design and high-efficiency Sanitaire Silver Series II diffusers, Xylem's Sanitaire Eco-lift retrievable aeration grid lowers the initial investment and overall life cycle costs of aeration systems.
Compared to both tubular membrane diffusers and mechanical aerators, fine bubble diffusers are far more dependable and efficient. The diffusers on the Sanitaire Eco-lift retrievable aeration grid are positioned on structural frames that are designed to allow for easy removal from the basin for maintenance and inspection without interfering with the wastewater treatment process. Building a grid is a more affordable option than building a parallel treatment train.
Cutting-edge tube-in-tube technology reduces expenses

With its patent-pending "tube-in-tube" construction, the Eco-lift retrievable aeration grid needs a lot less steel for ballast to hold it underwater than competing products. Compared to Xylem's previous designs, this decreases the product's cost by up to 50% and yields a larger and quicker return on investment. Furthermore, Sanitaire Silver Series II diffusers save wastewater treatment plants millions of dollars over the course of its lifetime by providing the highest oxygen transfer efficiency (OTE) and mechanical reliability when compared to tubular diffusers, mechanical aerators, or other forms of aeration systems.
The carbon steel I-beams or stainless steel square tubes used in the construction of Xylem's Eco-lift retrievable aeration grid frames provide a more flexible and robust structure than a concrete frame, making it appropriate for both municipal and industrial wastewater applications. The aeration grid is kept firmly in place on the aeration basin floor by the ballast provided by this frame. This steel structure is then equipped with a conventional aeration grid featuring an inventive tube-in-tube arrangement. The aeration grid is fixed to the floor of the aeration tank in situations where a retrievable grid is not needed.
A lifting cable arrangement with a central mast to hold the cables above the water line and maintain their tension, or a lifting mechanism consisting of four tubular lifting arms connected to one another at a central location above water level with a ring attached on top to facilitate easy lifting of the grids are the two types of lifting mechanisms that are available.

Characteristics of the Retrievable Aeration Grid:

  1. Uses Silver Series II diffusers from Xylem, which are the most dependable, economical, and efficient diffusers available.
  2. Permits the design of a single basin
  3. Simplifies upkeep: keep grids with operational basins
  4. A breakthrough tube-in-tube design lowers buoyancy factors by 60 percent.
  5. Elevated safety factors—at least 1.5
