 Working Principle Of Lamella Clarifier Tube Settlers Media
Gravity is a physical technique used in the sedimentation stage of wastewater treatment to settle and remove suspended materials. The settling capacity of a clarifier can be increased by a lamella clarifier by lowering the vertical distance that floc must travel before condensing into larger particles. Inclined tube packing The use of contiguous tubular channels that are 60° inclined to each other to increase the effective settling area.
As a result, settling time is decreased because the particle settling depth is substantially smaller than that of traditional clarifiers. Inclined tube packing permits larger flocs to enter the bottom of the tank in a more settleable state while capturing settleable fine flocs that escape from the clarification zone beneath the tube settler. The solids are gathered into a compact mass in the lamella clarifier's channels, which makes it easier for the solids to slide out of the tube channels.
