Utilizing the reverse osmosis process in conjunction with electrodeionization (EDI) to fully desalinate softened water, the ultrapure water unit generates diluate with a typical conductivity of less than 0.2 μS/cm. A premium centrifugal pump with variable-speed drive (VSD = FU) is included. Frequency-controlled operation prolongs the unit's life, lowers electricity costs by 30% to 50%, and maintains continuous permeate production regardless of operating pressure. The Siemens S7-1200 PLC allows for optimal control and assessment of the unit's functioning in addition to allowing for visualisation of the unit. Optionally available features include remote access, interface-based data transfer, and future control system expansion or modification (upon request and at an additional cost).
Terms and Conditions: 

  • This device can only be used to desalinate surface or well water that has been properly pretreated or softened to less than 0.1 °dH, suitable for drinking. 
  • In addition to free diluate outflow, the unit is designed to operate at a salinity (TDS) of 1,000 mg/l, 15 °C, and 10 mg/l of CO2. 
  • It takes three years of operation under these circumstances to reach the anticipated diluate output. 
  • Pre-treatment and raw water quality both affect the diluate's quality.
