Water Treatment Pumice filter media are manufactured under a high-quality control monitoring program that subtracts mineral processing from high-purity pumice ore to our facility in Saudi Arabia including washing, drying, and grading to meet ANSI/Strength Specification standards AWWA B100-09 meets ASTM E11 test sieve standard. Pumice’s low specific gravity and high porosity make it ideal for these applications and processes. A growing body of research shows that pumice is an effective drinking water filter medium.

Pumice is a light-colored, extremely porous igneous rock that forms during explosive volcanic eruptions. Pumice has several advantages over other filtration media such as expanded clay, anthracite, sand, and sintered PFA.
